USE OF MICROCHIP APPLICATIONS IN BURIAL GROUNDS

The microchip has been developed in a variety of designs to address the following client applications:

▼   Marking full burial interments
▼   Advance purchased plots
▼   Marking cremated remains interments
▼   Fixed to memorial headstones, linking chip number with inspection records
▼   Set in concrete foundations for product guarantee and insurance coverage
▼   Embedded in cable ties round rose bushes, linking revenue with plant owners or lessees
▼   Nailed to trees, linking chip number with maintenance records

………….and to date nearly 60 separate operators in the UK have now been supplied, including the Commonwealth War Graves Commission, and three burial authorities in Australia. In addition the potential for microchip identification of remains in mass trench burials has been discussed with the Ministry of Justice (MOJ) and resilience committees.

We are pleased to see that the MOJ has recommended consideration of RFID microchips in their recently issued Guidance for Operators, a full copy of which is available on request.  For those still making up their mind about plot markers and management, there is a Powerpoint presentation downloadable from our web site at: www.assettrac.co.uk/downloads/Epitrace.ppt

Non-survey grade GPS devices are getting smaller, cheaper, and accurate away from trees down to about ten feet, however we still believe there is no substitute for something unique and long lasting in the grave plot itself for final confirmation and peace of mind.
